A Private Vacation Home or a Hotel Room
You may have enjoyed the privacy and individuality of vacation homes before, and understand their money saving benefits and advantages over hotel accommodations. If you haven’t, may we note a few differences between homes and hotels, to guarantee that our homes do in fact meet (and hopefully exceed) your expectations.
Hotels are oriented toward overnight guests. They cater to the needs of busy in-transit individuals, particularly business people with meetings to attend and affinity group activities.They offer 24/7 staff, daily maid service, on-site building engineering, and alternative rooms to move to if something (heaven forbid) malfunctions or is otherwise unacceptable in the room or suite originally selected.
Your fully furnished and accessorized Desert Luxury Rental home, on the other hand, appeals to families and related groups looking for a destination, an end point place, with room to spread out, relax, and enjoy each other’s company in a beautiful, peaceful, and private environment. You will love the fully equipped kitchens for money saving and healthful at-home dining, the perfect alternative to expensive restaurant meals.
Most of our vacation homes are located adjacent to the La Quinta Resort and Club and include access to the resort’s recreation, sports, fitness, shopping facilities, their both casual and fine restaurants, and more… including access to room service and party catering from the hotel’s gourmet kitchen!
Most homes also have Time Warner cable, VCR’s and DVD players. We know you come to the desert to get away, but when duty does call…many of our homes have computers with 24/7 high-speed broadband access, wifi hubs, message phones, fax machines, and some even have free continental US long distance telephone lines. (Call to confirm if these are of interest to you.)
Your vacation home has been thoroughly cleaned upon the last guest’s departure and prepped before you arrive. During the high season check out time is 11:00 AM, check in time is 3:00 PM. Please understand that 4 hours is a tight time frame for our cleaning teams to service a kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, windows, pool areas, grill, etc. etc. Late check out and early check in is possible, but not always, and must be pre-arranged.
During your occupancy interim maid service is available upon advance request, billable to you on an hourly basis. All homes have housekeeping equipment, supplies, and large capacity clothes washers and dryers.
Landscape service is weekly. Pool service is twice a week. Your heated pool is conveniently uncovered and ready for use. A windy night in the bougainvillea season, for example, might make the pool surface look like a garden itself, occasionally beyond the absorption capability of the mechanized pool sweep. If it doesn't happen to be the pool company’s service day, use the manual skimming nets provided for your easy use, located near the pool heaters.
Yes, our contract services and maintenance people have extensive experience with desert homes. Yes, they are responsive nearby local residents, but they are not on 24-hour call. We characterize ourselves to our venders as their Champagne clients: we pay top dollar for fast service, hoping (and generally insuring) that our guest’s requests bump all others. We apologize if it can’t always be a same day response.
Finally, may we note a saying that in the desert, one is never alone. We share our environment with a variety of creatures whose presence in the desert environment preceded ours. Thorough pest control service is monthly. Evolution continues however, and there are invariably a few little high resistance critters that make it through the chemical barriers we erect to protect our guests’ entomological privacy. If you see them inside you will in most cases note that they didn't survive the passage. A variety of cleaning equipment including dust busters is available for your use.
